The hot sun beat down upon the Shaahri desert like any other day, but
this day brought about a strange surprise for those citizens of Antioch
who stood talking outside Her gates. An injured scout, lost and at
deaths door, collapsed in the midst of the small group, gasping for
breath and begging for water through his sun burnt lips. Although at
first unsure of what to do with the man that strangely appeared before
them, they soon retrieved for him an entire bucket of water, as well as
some vials of healing to speed his recovery.
After some extended questioning, the scout identified himself as a
member of a nearby camp comprising of survivors of a terrible wreck at
sea. The small throng of citizens now grown into a nicely sized group,
he asked their assistance in returning to his camp to report to their
Captain and religious leader of his findings, speaking doe-eyed of how
theyd finally found their home.
After being turned around a few times and bypassing the camp, the scout
found his second wind, and led the hardy band to the camps Captain
Darver, who spoke with them briefly before pointing them to Father Leor,
the camps religious leader. Father Leor was happy to answer the
questions presented to him, and although he declined several offers for
the entire camp to move into the Antioch his ship had searched for so
long, he did offer to attend some of their festivals and gatherings.
